The player from Panasonic has significantly changed the scenario, introducing Profile 2 support, making it possible for users to access the Internet via the Ethernet port available in the player. With introduction of Sony BDP-S550, the first standalone player from Sony, it is the only model which seems to have proven to be the one better than Playstation 3.
